Our approach

As multi asset investors, we can move across a broad spectrum of asset types and geographies to ensure robust income streams, capital growth and diversification.

As well as traditional holdings, our portfolios invest in alternatives and specialist strategies, accessing opportunities previously unavailable to most investors. This approach can smooth the path for income seeking investors, helping them to rest assured that their income is sustainable, and that their capital is well tended.

Strategy manager Jaisal Pastakia outlines our approach to income investing.

Our funds

A good income solution should be able to meet investor requirements through income from underlying investment holdings.

This should be able to happen without drawing on investment capital.

Our income strategies aim to provide consistent income from a diversified range of sources, without taking on unnecessary risk, while growing the underlying capital. Investors should feel that their portfolio is protected from capital losses in periods of market volatility, whilst able to capture attractive opportunities as they arise.

We offer two income strategies – Income and Income Plus – aligned to different levels of risk tolerance, and different income needs. The strategies aim to deliver a positive real return (that is, after the effects of inflation are removed) over any given five-year period. We refer to this as a rolling five-year periodInstead of specific yield targets (which can be skewed by fluctuations in capital value), we aim for stable pay outs per share. We are able to estimate these pay outs over a rolling 12-month period.
