Before joining Heartwood, Jaisal started his investment career with Dresdner Kleinwort Capital Markets as an analyst in 2007. There, he was involved in the pricing and execution of investment-grade financial, investment-grade corporate and emerging-market primary bond issues.

Jaisal graduated from University College, London with a first-class honours degree in Mathematics and then gained an MSc (Merit) in Finance from Imperial College, London. He is currently a Chartered Financial Analyst candidate, having passed the level 2 exam in 2011.
