After graduating from Bristol University in 1984, Hugh spent three years in the British Army before entering the City. He initially worked at Hill Samuel in a wide variety of banking positions before moving to a senior private banking role at Morgan Grenfell (latterly Deutsche Bank).

Hugh then spent six years at GAM as a leading member of the highly regarded London based client services team before moving to join Heartwood in 2008.

His brief is to handle the firm’s relationships with a broad range of private and charity clients; this role entails a particular focus on working with third-party professional advisors, fiduciary trustees and consultants and their respective clients.
