Mark started his career as a graduate trainee with Chase Manhattan, now part of JP Morgan. He became a Debt Capital Markets specialist at County Bank, now part of RBS and later Head of Capital Markets at Privatbanken, now part of Nordea. He then moved into Institutional Asset Management with BZW Investment Management, now Barclays Global Investors, and then as Head of Client Investment Services at, and a Director of, HSBC Asset Management.

Mark joined Heartwood in August 2010 after 11 years with UBS Wealth Management where he was one of the co-founders of UK Onshore Wealth Management and responsible for leading relationships with UK Entrepreneurs and Executives, which is also his role at Heartwood.

Mark is a Durham Geography graduate and ex-Sapper captain. He is currently a Governor of The Royal Star & Garter Homes and of Twyford School.
